Important Disclaimer: The Halal Scanning App is a digital assistance tool. It is NOT a substitute for consulting qualified Islamic scholars for definitive halal rulings. Always verify critical dietary decisions with trusted religious authorities. The App does not issue religious edicts (fatwas) and should not be treated as a definitive religious authority.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using The Halal Scanning App ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Halal Scanning App. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK). If you are under the applicable age, you may only use the App with parental or guardian consent.

All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not directly collect or store payment information.

Subscription Plans

Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 3-day free trial of Premium. The trial begins when you subscribe and converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Auto-Renewal

Monthly and annual subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Play Store settings.

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google through their respective processes:

All content, features, functionality, design, and branding of the App are the property of The Halal Scanning App and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Product data sourced from Open Food Facts is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We shall not be liable for:

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, government actions, power failures, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
